The practice of Nature mysticism occurs in a state of expanded now awareness.

“It is not the woods I hike through. I hike through the field of power around me that I call my soul, even though at this moment, in this place, I may call it “the woods.”
(Tom Cowan, Yearning for the Wind)

Nature awareness develops your ability to go into deeper levels of conscious connection with the greater web of life.

I cultivate this connection by shifting the focus from thinking to observation.

I am fully present in the moment.  And I  make a conscious energy exchange with the nature element I am observing.  This way of focused connection gives rise to a higher sense of awareness.

Medicine Walk (walking communion with the natural world), making friends with a tree or a mountain, and sitting in Vision Circle are three of my favorite practices.

In this state, you sense the vibrational energies from the stars, the earth, the trees, the waters, the bird and animal beings.

You are awake, yet in an expanded state of consciousness.

A joyous sense of being part of the larger plan of life often arises spontaneously.  And these transcendent moments shift us to a bigger perspective on our life.

It is as if you see through the eyes of your Higher Self.  These mystical experiences instill a sense of inner peace and of feeling at home.

Effects

Brain Rebalances & Opens New Channels.

The microcrystals in your brain rebalance as you absorb the flows of natural energies. Stress falls away.

You become more grounded, yet free in spirit.

Then heart can take lead. And your intuitive center opens new channels of direct knowledge.

Non-Doing

Flashes of insight occur for people absorbed and fully present in nature. This practice is called “non-doing.” And if you resist the mind’s tendency to jump into thinking and planning, delicate seeds of the greater you can take root.

Nature is a profound portal for enhanced awareness.

The natural world radiates life energies and evokes awe that opens our heart. I invite you to enter this world of beauty with alertness and deep seeing while disengaging from the mind chatter and analysis.  This frees you to become engaged in a two-way exchange of consciousness.

These mystical moments of connectedness are personal experiences of divine connection.  We may glimpse the vastness of Source and feel part of a larger whole.  An uprush of kindness and compassion bubbles up.  Inner truths emerge.  Words do not adequately describe the richness of these experiences.

These are potent practices for expanding consciousness.
